‘m Thea Ramsay, a fiftyish Torontonian with a lot of imagination. I grew up reading books, favoring the romantic, magical and imaginative fiction over most other kinds of reading. (Okay, I loved Roots).

I was born blind, but was lucky enough to go to the Ontario School for the Blind between 1970-1977. They had a big library full of Braille books. I’ve always loved books, and the fantastic places they could take me. So I guess no one who really knows me is surprised by the fact that I’m a writer, or that I write about fantastic places and people that exist only in my head. As of this writing, I have a short story, a novella, and a novel published. You can find me on GoodReads, as well as Amazon, SmashWords, and the usual places. My writing is anything but usual.

To make things convenient, you can find my work at http://www.dldbooks.com/thearamsay/

I live in Toronto with my beautiful cat, Theta. In addition to reading and writing, I enjoy movies, (especially romantic musicals and love stories) classic TV, and music. I favor gospel, R&B, soul, and Christian rap.

Christian apologetics and eschatology are fascinating to me, and why not? I’ve trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior since I was a young girl by the name of Darlene Beckstead. The name change thing is a long, interesting story.

‘m also a chocoholic, just in case anyone wants to know what to send me for Christmas. LOL I have a college-age son and daughter who are living in the States. Their dad went home to be with the Lord in ’13.

I’ve developed some serious chronic pain and mental health issues, the positives of which contribute to my imagination. I still rely heavily on the books and movies to whisk me off to faraway places.

I’m a quiet-living person who nevertheless hopes to become a successful novelist.

In 2018, my first novel, Lucy, was published by Tellwell Talent, a company that likes to showcase Canadian talent. Lucy is a YA+ fantasy novel, and the first in a series of books. Lucy has received some reviews on GoodReads and Amazon.

My thanks to everyone who’s taken the time to read my book and review it. In an era when iPhone games are more interesting than books, that really means a lot to me.

I guess that’s me in a nutshell. I hope you’ll take the time to  visit http://www.dldbooks.com/thearamsay/ and I’ll be glad to see you back here. I plan to offer promotions and give-aways from time to time.
